About
My name is Isabel Beatrice
I have worked as a language teacher for the past 14 years. I have studied Norwegian, French, Spanish and English at the Universities of Bergen and Stavanger, Norway. I received my Master's Degree in Literacy in 2015. In 2024, I also studied Special Needs Education.
One of my life goals is to become fluent in at least 10 (!) languages. Over the next decade, I plan to learn Japanese, Swahili and Arabic. And of course, I will share all my knowledge with you here on this website. Stay tuned!

How it all started
I have been passionate about languages since as long as I can remember. I am the youngest of four sisters, and I remember it like it was yesterday when my oldest sister started learning French in High School. That's what also kicked off my love of languages.
My sister Ingvill, who is 11 years older than me, was so passionate about her language journey. I remember she put up yellow post-it notes in French all around our kitchen as she was learning new kitchen related words, never minding the rest of the household had to use the telephone with a note saying téléphone stuck to it. Naturally, this process started rubbing off on me. I remember her teaching me phrases like "je m'appelle", "je cherche" and of course "je t'aime". She said them with great intonation and practiced with me until I also sounded like a native pronouncing them, although I was probably only 5 years old at the time.
Likewise, I also remember one day we went swimming in the ocean and she taught me how to count in French. As we swam in the great waves, we counted together - "un, deux, trios!". She taught me 3 and 3 numbers all the way until we jumped up at "dis!" - "ten!". What a fun way to learn! The things she taught me are the ones I remember the most, even though I also followed in her footsteps and learned French myself a couple of years later.
Since that time, I have learned English and Spanish to fluency. As a consequence of my love of languages, I decided to get my Master's degree in Literacy - the ability to read and write, in any language. My career led me to teaching in Norwegian schools, which I have for fourteen years now and up until this day. As a side project, I have also taught Spanish to adults through private courses.
I've been teaching languages to students of all ages, from 1st grade to adults, both online and in a classroom. The greatest challenge I have met is the lack of time and efficient methods that would bring my students to fluency fast. But after studying the matter in depth and when I stumbled upon Chris Lonsdale's method, I finally understood what it takes to learn a language easily and effectively - without using the old school method that is often taught in classrooms today.
That's why I decided to take this new step into offering my courses online, to everyone who are as passionate about learning a new language as I am. And to everyone who is tired of sitting around memorising, repeating words and filling in the blanks of boring exercises in a workbook. The courses I teach today is inspired by Lonsdale's method, and I can guarantee you that they are not the traditional, inefficient way of learning which you have probably been through in school before. These courses will teach you a language in a completely new, useful and EFFECTIVE way that will help you reach your goal of fluency incredibly fast. If you follow the instructions, you will be able to speak your target language fluently - inside 6 months time.
Sounds too good to be true? Well, I encourage you to check out Lonsdale's TedTalk on YouTube, and see for yourself. Then come back and join this new journey with me - I can't wait to have you onboard!
